This is the only place I have transferred bitcoin to after purchasing it. There are two transactions referenced below. I had also questioned why when I clicked on ‘Transactions’ in Aardvark it first displayed the message “no transactions found,” then eventually it would error out every time, but their AI help option never responded to any of my questions. I emailed them on 6-26-26 at 3:23 p.m. and have not yet received a response. When I called them on 6-26-26 at 2:05 p.m., I left a voicemail message. Then I called again at 3:06 p.m. and was hung up on twice by someone who sounded like a very young person (child?) and then this person/child called me back and gave me nonsensical advice like “you need to buy a new phone because it is broken.” Then this person/child left 2 more voice messages with garble for messages. I had deleted the first one, but kept the second one which was left at 3:11 p.m. If I do get a response from them, I will update you. On 7/2 I sent an email to Support asking when I would be able to withdraw my remaining balance and asked how I could close my account. I also sent these questions to Ryan Matta (my contact, see next paragraph). All other platforms provide a ‘Close Account’ option. The only person I have been in contact with mostly over WhatsApp regarding purchasing and investing bitcoin is Ryan Matta a conservative influencer. He has approximately 500k followers on Facebook and X and probably other platforms. Per usual he’s very charming and began by reaching out to me and telling me he appreciated that I follow him and have reposted many of his videos. I agree with his views, but he asked if I would want to invest in his work and I said I would be happy to donate in cash or credit card, but he persisted in wanting me to purchase bitcoin. At first, I thought it would be a good investment, because he said it would be put in a mining operation where it would grow at a higher rate of return than other conventional investment plans. Then after a certain number of months (even though he never said how many) I would be able to get my profits out in USD (US dollars), but I am not entirely sure I understand this. It had only been in the account for a month; however I put my wallet address in a free tracker website (see above) and it came back empty. When I looked up Aardvark online, it sounds like it was not a confirmed and certified company and is probably a scam operation. I should have investigated it sooner. I have lost a total of $30k+ between the 2 successful transfers of bitcoin to Aardvark and up to an additional $2k in fees and loss from converting bitcoin back to US dollars when Kraken put a ‘security alert’ on my account and would only allow me to withdraw my cash back to my bank account. Kraken gets an A+ from me. I had started questioning this Aardvark operation around the time of the Kraken $17k deposit from my bank to them and tried to notify them that I wasn’t sure about wanting to complete that transfer, so they did get my message to their Support Dept. and returned it and put a 3 month hold on my account with them. Of course, Ryan Matta encouraged me to try other bitcoin dealers and I eventually remembered Wise Wolf, which I knew was a reputable company. I should have found that crypto balance check website sooner, but never thought about it even existing. The number one reason for this report, is if investigated and found a fraudulent website, then I may have helped some future victim from falling prey of this scam. It will probably take until tax time next year for me to confirm what has happened to my bitcoin investment, so I found it necessary to file this report now.
