So I met this person on Facebook um London Selfridge um he also went by London Gibbons bin And He was from the UK and I have a TV series I'm working on it's called Arcadia origins of the Arcos and this person said that he would be an investor for my TV series and basically we talked on the phone several times and he sounded legit he knew what he was talking about He had a British accent and he said you know that he used to work for Lucas Lucas films he used to work for George Lucas He said that he was part of the creation of BBA and that he was you know he started working for him whenever he was like a teenager with a group of kids from a school or something like that he said that he worked on animatronics and he helped build animatronics and He said that he's been in the industry for a really really long time and he was telling the story about how he helped create BBA because he was a part of the animatronics team and he told me the story about a hamster ball or something and they were trying to figure out how to get this ball to move and Then he figured it out or whatever and then BBA was created Or something along those lines but anyway we spoke on the phone like every week and he always sounded like he was in like a bar or a pub or or something along those lines He sounded like there was people around him all the time and he said you know oh I'm just in the pub I'm just in the pub Well one week he told us that he had $1 million to invest in the TV show and we were like oh great you know and he didn't say much else after the fact until the next week we were supposed to talk on a Tuesday about next steps and then he just didn't call which was weird for him because he called like on time every week And then he just kind of vanished I mean and his Facebook was still there and then everything like that but he just kind of ghosted everybody and we were like well what happened well come to find out maybe about a month later this random lady calls me from California and she's a producer and she told me that she got kind of scammed from London Because I guess he was supposed to work with her on a project she was doing but before I get into that basically London you know was sending me special effects clips and saying how he you know had an effects team and all this other stuff and I did my own research so I found out that those "" effects and monster effect he was sending me it was all AI It had the AI simple in the corner so I was like why is he sending me AI clips if he has this big effect team he also said that he wanted us to fly out to the UK me and my team and that we were going to I guess start filming and he had a film date and he had a place that we were supposed to stay he sent me a picture of his place and stuff but he said he was related to the Selfridge's Who run like the biggest boutique in the UK or whatever and you know again like I should've probably known better but you know he was just very convincing and everything he was just telling us with like fax to back it up kind of and he said you know oh yeah I'm part of the Selfridge family out here in the UK we're gonna film with the studio we're gonna film here I'm gonna fly you out and he told us to get a passport and we did we went out and got a passport Well we were we were ready to go to the UK to film like we were we thought that everything had worked out for our show me and my cast and my crew were so excited and then that lady I just mentioned called me and she said that London was in jail and she said that she found out what his real name was And it wasn't selfish it was something else and I can't remember what it is at the moment but he while she she said that you know the reason he always sounded like he was in a pub because he was actually in jail and that he wasn't in the UK but he was locked up in a jail in California somewhere or something And Yeah it was it was something something like that or whatever she said that he was locked up and that she told me that he didn't just do this to me he did this to a whole bunch of other women And some of those women you know they got wrapped up I think sending money to him or or something happened but he never got to that point with me he kept always offering like he was going to fund my TV show so did I get scammed financially know I guess but he just he has a whole bunch of information about me and my people in my show and everything that's kind of confidential information so you know I still wanted to report it and the pictures he had on his Facebook It was like Dior and like all these fancy shoots and he said that he attended you know a fashion show and all these things and he was like you know saying how he was also a musician and if you look on YouTube and you type in London Selfridge music he has like a whole music playlist of songs that he supposedly created on YouTube music So the rabbit hole goes pretty deep because he also said he was a musician and everything like that and he had all that online He said that he created the theme song for the boo-boo the little boo-boo TV show on Netflix or something but I think it was I think honestly it turned out to be all AI he was just using AI What else Oh yeah so I reverse image search the images myself because after you know that lady told me that and I found all this information out I decided to do some research myself and I found out that he stole images from this model or something online and that you know everything he had on his page was fake But the page is still up on Facebook and I don't know if he's still in jail or if that was true or not but He was supposed to be out or get I have no idea but if he does come back he might try to scam people so I didn't wanna report it and it's a very crazy story but yeah I just kind of wanted to get to the bottom of it
