I met a woman online who presented herself as genuinely interested in building a romantic relationship with me. Over time, she gained my trust by expressing strong feelings, talking about a future together, and repeatedly assuring me that she would never lie to me or hide the truth. As the relationship developed, she encouraged me to invest money in cryptocurrency through platforms and wallets that she claimed were legitimate. Because I trusted her and believed our relationship was real, I transferred money following her instructions. After making the investments, I began noticing inconsistencies in her stories and suspicious behavior. She became less responsive, avoided answering important questions, and I discovered evidence suggesting that parts of her identity and the information she had given me were false or misleading. I now believe I was the victim of a romance scam combined with cryptocurrency investment fraud. The relationship appears to have been used to manipulate me emotionally into sending money. I am reporting this incident to help prevent others from becoming victims and to request that the individuals, cryptocurrency wallets, websites, and any associated accounts be investigated.
